I certainly hope quality doesn’t falter over the next 14 years, because Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced that the production timeline for the franchise movies has been planned out all the way to 2028.
While that is some incredible pre-production work, let’s see how it all pans out. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is out starting tonight and Avengers 2 is on the horizon. I am not a huge comic movie fan, but I did enjoy the first Captain America and would like to see an Incredible Hulk movie that isn’t a trainwreck like the past two attempts. Honestly, this sounds like a horror movie franchise gone way out of control (Halloween 27, anyone?)
Tell you what, we’ll revisit this topic in a few years, ok? Make sure you hold me to that folks, because I will probably forget.
And I know this site is not terribly popular, but please don’t let my ignorant ramblings hurt your feelings, Marvel fans. I am sure this will work out. I am just in awe of their work since I cannot get anything out of pre-production myself, much less set up 14 years of star-studded, feature-length, universe-expanding content – Unless you are a fan of Starie, my one universe creation, but that’s a talk for another day.
