Intro
I love paranormal stuff, you know UFOs, Bigfoot, Loch Ness. One of the lesser known ones is the Mothman, which is very interesting. I’ve done my research and I’m convinced that they/it exist. Being such a huge fan you’d be surprised that up till this point I have not seen the 2001 release of Mark Pellington’s “The Mothman Prophecies”.
Dialogue
Excellent dialogue, steadily paced, and really well written. To keep the film at a good non-boring pace.
Acting
Wonderful acting, was it really a surprise though? When you have Richard Gere, and Laura Linnes as the two leads, then you should know you aren’t really going to have bad acting, great at a min.
Plot
This was a good plot. The first mothman movie, but also a great suspense building one, without showing physical fear, or terror, which is hard to come by. Great job of hiding the time period so the event could lead up to the climatic ending.
Music
I thought the music was very good and set the mood for the entire film early and often. The music never let down any during the film and all seemed to be at the right place at the right time.
Overall
This is a clear cut one for me, right up my alley, great story acting always deliver in the end. Check it out and DON’T listen to the voices.
